While you're busy parsing Russell Brand's persuasive techniques, you are oddly silent and uncritical of the barrage of propaganda techniques used by MSNBC, the mainstream media, and our government agencies. For example, the false narrative making ivermectin out to be a dangerous "horse paste" when ivermectin is by many metrics safer than Tylenol and got a Nobel Prize for being such an effective anti-parasite for humans in third world countries. The parade of bullshit coming out of Brand's mouth makes it almost impossible to listen to him. I think you're absolutely correct when you mention how well it works on his audience. To them, he comes off as a deeply well-informed truth teller.

As someone that obsessively listened to the first 100 episode or so Russell Brand’s Under the Skin where he had the most amazing conversations on science, religion, anthropology, politics and other subjects with amazing guests, it’s a shame to see what he’s become over the course of the pandemic. The cringey youtube video titles, the word salad, the constant talk of “small government for small communities” 🤮 I mean he wouldn’t be allowed to exist in a small community to begin with unless that community was solely for rich eccentrics
