great post! as a longtime yoga teacher and yoga therapist I've long felt it was unethical to sell products to my students (having tried it at the beginning of my career and stopped because it just felt creepy)
Great one D. Question, do you think that organic coffee is better than non? I have most def bought into Dave's story about mycotoxins and have regularly carried down lb's to CR from the states of his Bulletproof blends. I have access to beans where I can visit the plants, Imma make that shift after reading this.
Thanks, Patrick. I mean, if you like his beans, drink them. I used to get his coffee from the Santa Monica cafe, but now I can't support him, given how much anti-vax pseudoscience that he's put out there. I'm also wary of the butter in coffee thing given cardiologists I've talked to, but that trend has pretty much faded at this point.
I'm not aware of the benefits of organic vs non-organic coffee, but in regards to food in general, some scientists I follow and respect often talk about there being minimal actual benefit. Now, this is a separate issue from land use, crop rotation, soil depletion, and other chronic problems with factory farming and mono-crops.
I appreciate the work of Conspirituality as always. Thanks, Derek.
Thanks, RL!
